Author: Paul R. Ehrlich Dr. Ehrlich is Bing Professor of Population Studies and Professor of Biological Sciences at Stanford University. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and past president of the Institute of Biological Sciences. In 1989 he was awarded the first Science in the Service of Humankind prize by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. Although he has published hundreds of scientific papers, he is best known for the landmark book, The Population Bomb (1968) and more recently, Betrayal of Science and Reason (1996). |
